Crisis Line Volunteer: Connect2Help is looking for interested community members to help us with our suicide and crisis calls. Each volunteer will be provided with free training on how to help our callers and direct them to the level of care best suited for their needs. Our next 40-hour volunteer training will be held in June 2019. We will ask our trained volunteers to help us a few times a month, as it is convenient with their schedule.
NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! Our training will give the crisis volunteers all they need to assess their callers, practice active listening, how to reflect empathy and how to provide referrals to meet the caller’s needs. Many of our callers just need someone to listen and to care. Would you like to help us? Use the link below to obtain an application. Please email the completed application to firstname.lastname@example.org.
